I am originally from the United States and grew up in Connecticut. I attended high school at The Sound School in New Haven and had an amazing experience designing/building a 1,051 L coral reef aquarium and honing my boating skills. I went on to complete my undergraduate studies at Roger Williams University where I earned my BS in Marine Biology and a minor in Visual Arts (drawing & painting). During this time, I was also fortunate enough to study abroad in Bermuda at the Bermuda Institute of Ocean Sciences (BIOS) and complete an independent research project investigating coral fusion. I love to share my passion for the ocean with others through my art and of course, diving! Meeting new people and making new friends is one of my favorite aspects of my job, so I am always happy to chat with you and compare fish stories :)"
"Hello all! My name is Cassandra. I have known that I wanted to pursue a career in the marine world from a very young age, so working here as a member of Team Toucan really is a dream come true. I began diving in 2012 when I joined Crew 3000, a nonprofit scuba organization specializing in coral reef restoration and underwater coral nursery development/maintenance. My work with the Crew has allowed me to visit many of the Caribbean islands but I am so glad to live on my most favorite one - Bonaire!
