Then the PADI Open Water Diver (OWD) course is the way to go. The Open Water Diver course consists of 3 main phases: theory, confined water training and the open water dives. In the paragraphs below it is explained which variation of the course will go through what phases. You can choose to do all of it here in Bonaire, or you might choose to do part of the course somewhere else and finish on our beautiful island!

PADI Open Water Diver eLearning Course $ 550

First you will complete the knowledge development portion of the PADI Open Water Diver course in the comfort of your own home, hotel room or on the beach via the PADI eLearning! When you get to Bonaire your instructor will complete your confined water and open water training with you. After fulfilling the PADI Open Water Diver eLearning course, you are certified to dive with a buddy to a maximum depth of 60 feet/ 18 meters*.

To enroll in this course, you must be at least 10 years old, need adequate swimming skills and need to be in good physical health. Before conducting the practical part, you will need to fill out a medical form. No prior experience with scuba diving is required. After fulfilling the complete course, you will receive a certification that is valid worldwide.

PADI Open Water Diver Referral Course $ 325

The PADI Open Water Diver Referral course is designed in such a way that you can complete the biggest part of your course at home, prior to your holiday, and finish your open water dives in the beautiful waters of Bonaire! You will finish the theoretical part and confined water sessions at your own schedule via eLearning and with a local dive center (most areas offer many options to choose from). Then the dive store will issue you a PADI or Universal Referral form, which allows you to complete the remainder of the course with us within 12 months of your last day of training. This is a very popular option, as it allows you to spend more time enjoying your holiday and doing what you like most - scuba diving! After fulfilling the PADI Open Water Diver Universal Referral course, you are certified to dive with a buddy to a maximum depth of 60 feet/ 18 meters*.

PADI Open Water Diver Universal Referral Course $ 450

The PADI Open Water Diver Universal Referral course is designed that you can complete the course with PADI even if you started with another dive agency! The dive center you've started with, will issue you a PADI/Universal referral form which allows you to complete the remainder of the course with us within 12 months from the last day of your training. After fulfilling the PADI Open Water Diver Universal Referral course, you are certified to dive with a buddy to a maximum depth of 60 feet/ 18 meters*.

PADI Scuba Diver Course $ 450

Ready to become a certified PADI diver, but don’t have enough time or are not ready to go all the way to a depth of 60 feet/ 18 meters? Sign up for the PADI Scuba Diver course. The PADI Scuba Diver course consists of three main phases.

  • First you will do the knowledge development to understand basic principles of scuba diving.
  • The second phase would be finishing your confined water dives to learn basic scuba skills.
  • Then the last part to finish is your open water dives. you get to use your skills and explore!

To enroll in a PADI Scuba Diver course (or Junior Scuba Diver course), you must be 10 years old or older. You need adequate swimming skills and need to be in good physical health. You will need to fill out a medical form. No prior experience with scuba diving is required. After fulfilling the PADI Scuba Diver course, you are certified to dive with a professional to a maximum depth of 40 feet/ 12 meters.

This course will take approximately 1.5 - 2 days.
