There are several ways to become a PADI certified diver. The PADI Open Water course consists of 3 main phases: theory, confined water training and the open water dives. In the paragraphs below it is explained in which course you go through which phases with us on Bonaire and which phases you may already do at home at a PADI diving school in your area or online.

PADI Open Water E-learning Course $ 500

Complete the knowledge development portion of the PADI Open Water Course in the comfort of your own home, hotel room or on the beach via the PADI eLearning or PADI Touch program! On arrival here you will unite with an instructor to complete your confined water and open water training. After fulfilling the PADI Open Water eLearning Course, you are certified to dive with a buddy to a maximum depth of 60 feet/ 18 meters.

This course will take approximately 2 - 3 days.

The course is $ 500 in total, including the E-learning code, materials and certification.

PADI Open Water Referral Course $ 275

The PADI Open Water Referral Course is designed so you can complete the biggest part of your course at home prior to your holiday and finish your open water dives in Bonaire’s beautiful waters! You will finish the theoretical part and confined water sessions at your own schedule via eLearning, eTouch and with a local dive store (most areas offer many options to choose from). The dive store will issue you a PADI/UNIVERSAL Referral form which allows you to complete the remainder of the course with us within 12 months from the last day of your training. This is a very popular option as it allows you to spend more time enjoying your holiday and doing what you like most - scuba diving! After fulfilling the PADI Open Water Referral Course, you are certified to dive with a buddy to a maximum depth of 60 feet/ 18 meters.

This course will take approximately 1.5 day.

PADI Open Water Universal Referral Course $ 375

The PADI Open Water Universal Referral Course is designed so you can complete the course even if you started with another dive agency! The dive store you've started with, will issue you a PADI/UNIVERSAL Referral form which allows you to complete the remainder of the course with us within 12 months from the last day of your training. After fulfilling the PADI Open Water Universal Referral Course, you are certified to dive with a buddy to a maximum depth of 60 feet/ 18 meters.

This course will take approximately 2.5 - 3 days.

PADI Scuba Diver Course $ 420

Ready to become a certified PADI Open Water Diver, but don’t have enough time? Sign up for the PADI Scuba Diver Course. The PADI Scuba Diver Course consists of three main phases:

  • Knowledge Development to understand basic principles of scuba diving
  • Confined Water Dives to learn basic scuba skills
  • Open Water Dives to use your skills and explore!

To enroll in a PADI Scuba Diver course (or Junior Scuba Diver course), you must be 10 years old or older. You need adequate swimming skills and need to be in good physical health. No prior experience with scuba diving is required. After fulfilling the PADI Scuba Diver Course, you are certified to dive with a professional to a maximum depth of 40 feet/ 12 meters.
